How can you help?

Start recording what you find

If you are interested in marine wildlife consider helping to protect it by recording what your see, whether that is while rockpooling, beach combing, swimming, snorkelling or diving. Your local marine recorders Dawn Watson and Rob Spray would be very pleased to hear about any finds. They run Seasearch East locally which runs marine recording training every year.

… there are lots of good books to help you too!

Beach Cleans

Beach cleaning and litter picking are essential to conserving our county's coastal environment. We are fortunate to have many Norfolk volunteers dedicated to collecting litter and then passing on data about the rubbish they find to MCNAG so we can campaign for change. There are organised community beach cleans most weekends around Norfolk’s coast, and you can find a calendar here.

We are honoured to have many of the community organisers, plus individual beach cleaners, divers, and snorkellers (who collect litter from under the waves), as members of MCNAG.
